High-Value Cargo Transport
Sealed at origin, never left unattended, handed over to a named person — and nobody outside dispatch knows the route.
Cargo Taxi Deliveries moves high-value cargo across Los Angeles and the western states on exclusive-use trucks with vetted named drivers. Loads are sealed at origin, custody is documented at every transfer, the truck is not left unattended with freight aboard, and the route and timing are not discussed outside dispatch.
High-value freight is stolen from trucks that stop. Almost all cargo theft in Southern California happens at a parking area, a truck stop or a dock where a loaded trailer sat unattended, and very little of it happens on the road. So the protection that actually works is operational rather than technological: do not stop with the load aboard, do not leave the vehicle, do not park it overnight loaded, and do not tell anyone where it is going.
That shapes how these runs are built. The truck is exclusive-use so there is no reason to stop for another pickup. The load is sealed at origin and the seal number travels on the paperwork so a break is visible rather than arguable. The driver is named and vetted rather than whoever was nearest. Fuel and rest are planned before the load goes on. And the route and timing stay inside dispatch — a load discussed on an open channel is a load somebody is waiting for.
The freight itself varies enormously: electronics and semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, precious metals, luxury goods, fine art, prototypes and tooling, and anything whose replacement cost or lead time makes a loss unrecoverable. Dispatch will discuss what level of handling your particular load warrants rather than selling the maximum to everybody.

Questions
High-Value Cargo, answered.
How do you protect high-value freight from cargo theft?
By not creating the opportunity. The overwhelming majority of cargo theft happens to loaded vehicles left unattended at truck stops, parking areas and docks — so these runs use an exclusive-use truck with no unrelated stops, a sealed load, a named driver who does not leave the vehicle with freight aboard, and a route that is not discussed outside dispatch.
Is the cargo insured?
Cargo insurance is carried and a certificate is available on request, with the limit stated on it. For freight whose value exceeds the standard limit, tell dispatch the declared value at booking so additional cover can be arranged in advance — discovering a shortfall after a loss is not a recoverable position.
Do you use a sealed load?
Yes. A numbered seal is applied at origin and the number is recorded on the bill of lading, so the consignee verifies the same number at delivery. A seal does not prevent theft, but it makes an interference visible and non-arguable, which is what matters when a claim is being assessed.
