Courier

Legal Courier & Court Filing Service

Filings made, documents retrieved, exhibits delivered — with the receipt back in your hand the same afternoon.

Cargo Taxi Deliveries runs legal courier service across Los Angeles County, covering court filings, document retrieval, deposition exhibits, and confidential transfers between firms, clients and agencies. Every run returns a conformed copy or a time-stamped signature. Dispatch operates 24 hours a day, which matters when a filing deadline lands at 4pm.

A legal courier run is judged on one thing: whether the receipt comes back. Filing a complaint before a deadline is only useful if the conformed copy returns to the file, and a document retrieved from a clerk is only retrieved when it is in the requesting attorney's hands. So every legal run ends with a document going the other way, and dispatch treats the return leg as part of the job rather than as a favour.

The work covers filings at the Los Angeles Superior Court locations and the federal courthouses, retrieval and copying from clerks' offices and county recorders, delivery of deposition exhibits and trial materials to court reporters and opposing counsel, and confidential transfers between firms, clients and agencies. Volume document moves — a banker's-box production that will not fit in a car — go on a van or box truck without changing who you call.

Deadlines in this work are hard and the courthouses close on their own schedule, so dispatch will tell you honestly whether a 3:40pm call can still make a 4:30pm window at Stanley Mosk. Taking a filing that cannot be made on time is worse than declining it.

Questions

Legal Courier, answered.

Can you file documents at the Los Angeles Superior Court?

Yes. Filings are made at the Superior Court locations and the federal courthouses, and the conformed copy comes back to your office as part of the same job. Give dispatch the deadline rather than the preferred pickup time, so the run can be built backwards from the window the clerk actually closes.

Do you provide proof that the delivery was made?

Every legal run returns a signature and a time stamp, and filings return the conformed copy itself. The proof is sent the same day rather than batched, because a receipt that arrives next week does not help a file that is being reviewed today.

How do you handle confidential or privileged material?

Documents travel sealed, are never left visible or unattended in a vehicle, and go hand to hand at both ends. Drivers do not open, copy or photograph contents. If a matter requires a specific protocol or a named driver on every run, dispatch will set that up rather than rotate whoever is nearest.
